The Center
About
The Center at the Canyon County Fair was built in 2022 and provides a gathering space for all types and sizes of trade shows, private and community events.
The Center provides new opportunities to expand the fair-going experience for the community while offering an all-new, year-round event venue for Canyon County, and the greater Treasure Valley.
The 45,000 square-foot building features a number of amenities, including a 30,000 square-foot air-conditioned expo hall, indoor and outdoor meeting spaces, and the new Fair administrative offices.
The intent of The Center is to be a transformative space for the community, focusing on advancing various aspects of community life, such as:
- Inclusivity and Accessibility: The Center prioritizes inclusivity and ensures accessibility for all members of the community. It is designed to accommodate people with diverse abilities, providing ramps, and other ADA compliant features. The Center, like Canyon County, embraces individuals from all different backgrounds and cultures.
- Community Engagement: The Center serves as a platform for fostering connections and relationships among community members by hosting regular events, workshops, and seminars that encourage participation and collaboration. The Center has the capacity to host galleries, serve as a performance space, and offers a space that showcases local talent.
- Support for Local Businesses: The Center plays a vital role in boosting the local economy by providing space for small businesses and entrepreneurs to come together in a common meeting space and thrive. By actively supporting local businesses, The Center contributes to the community’s economic development and creates a vibrant atmosphere.
- Ag-Based Accommodations: The Center is one of the only facilities in Canyon County that has capability to host events geared toward promoting the County’s rich agricultural heritage. The building boasts six roll-up doors tall enough to accommodate semi-trailers, tractors, and heavy equipment, as well as an engineered concrete floor rated to support heavy loads.
Over the last 130 years Canyon County has continued to grow and flourish. As the community expands, The Center at the Canyon County Fair will celebrate the variety of talents, attractions, aims and interests within our community.
By embracing the unique needs and strengths of its community, The Center has the potential to cultivate a strong sense of belonging, promote collaboration, and drive innovation. It becomes a catalyst for growth, sustainability, and prosperity within the diverse agricultural community it serves.
